Successful Liars Have Good Memories

Many drivers tell me that their log books are fairy tales. Some say it’s impossible to make money when running an honest log book. They’re not alone. Numerous surveys and studies have been done to test people on their integrity. Most people admitted that they would cheat to gain an advantage. Problem is when we tell one lie; we then have to tell another to make our stories fit. Abraham Lincoln said, “No man has a good enough memory to make a successful liar.” That’s because when the lies fall apart, it’s usually with disastrous results. Honesty is What We Need

In searching for total emotional wellness, one of the difficult things to handle is truth. That’s because sometimes the truth hurts. However, if you want to be emotionally well you must not only tell the truth but be willing to hear the truth. Telling the truth to someone is absolute love. If you don’t tell the truth, then you are unloving, even to the point of being abusive. So even though it’s sometimes hard to offer or receive the truth, you will be much better off in the long run because of it.
