If you think about it, respect and obedience follow honoring parents, and obedience usually keeps us out of trouble. We are spared the consequences of mistakes we should never make. In turn, we may become parents with confident patterns by which to guide our own children. As husbands and fathers, we are responsible for rearing sound-minded children. We can have a way of making things hard for our kids and saying things that may frustrate them, which is counterproductive. We are also to love our wives, as though laying down our lives for them and by doing so, teaching love and respect to our sons and daughters by example. Let’s be worthy of the honor we receive from our wife and kids. Comment here.
