Many truck stops have pool tables inside the game room. My father-in-law recently told me the guys he plays pool with prefer to call it billiards. They think it sounds better. Not sure I agree with that, but I really don’t play pool that much, so I’ll go with him on this one. One thing I do know is that there are other things we label with a different name simply to make what we are doing sound more acceptable. Things like social drinking and casual sex are just a couple of them. In order to maintain a healthy emotional state, we need to check our lifestyles to make sure we are making the right choices so they don’t come back to cause us pain in the future, regardless of what we or others may call it.
